this article in the Oregonian just reminded me of how impressive a food city that Portland, Or is. having just spent a couple of days there, i was blown away by the commitment to local, seasonal & sustainable the food community is there. everything from amazing pasture raised organic chicken from a food cart to heritage breed pork salumi and great farmers markets. this article shares some of the issues restaurants everywhere face when choosing which seafood to buy & serve.
